It’s time to take up riding. No more sitting on the sidelines or the pillion seats. A great way to get started is to take the MSF basic rider course. Get your licensing out of the way and learn great information that could save your butt out on the road. At around $300, the class is great value, but if you act fast, you could take the course for free.

NIU has finally updated its 2014 MSF courses site. They (NIU & SIU) do this every year: Once they submit their course dates to the state, they update their announcement on their website. As soon as Illinois approves the courses and provides funding, courses become confirmed. Typically registration opens the last Monday of February. In 2013, NIU opened its registration at 8:00pm, whilst SIU opened theirs the next day. Good luck!!

The MSF is a 2 day program that is worth every penny of the $300+ bucks the private schools charge. All classes will be booked very quickly, so get on it.

Thank you to our friend John Ho for sending this to us!

With 40º temps in the forecast for next week, I can’t wait to ride. I hope to see some of y’all back out on your bikes too. Think Spring!
