You know that tired, old saying “What do you get for the man that has everything?” Well the answer isn’t a Ducati 1199 Panigale. If he’s got everything, then he’ll already have one. Yet when you look at the 1199, there’s a similar question worth asking. What needs improving on a bike that’s already so good? You see, the 1199 Panigale is not your cousin’s R1. There’s not really any part of this bike that’s been phoned-in. Ducati didn’t cut any corners in the areas where most bikes still need a lot of help.

It certainly doesn’t need more power. If nearly 200 hp won’t get you where you’re going, you probably should be there. It doesn’t need a suspension upgrade, with top-shelf Ohlin’s front and back. It’s a beautiful exterior design, so there’s no point in messing with its body lines. What then? What would we do with an 1199 Panigale to make it that little bit better than showroom stock?

Ducati 1199 Panigale Works - 02

Well it’s a short list, but it’s still a spec that we’re very proud to put the Works Edition name on:

  • Rizoma Veloce L Mirrors
  • Rizoma Fluid Tanks
  • Rizoma Rear Sets
  • Rizoma Fender Eliminator Kit
  • Rizoma Turn Signals (Rear)

Basically, we’ve taken an already immaculate motorcycle (flat black, by the way, and how badass is that already?) and tweaked the handful of details where standard equipment needed a little help. New Rizoma mirrors with integrated indicators and Rizoma reservoirs on both the front brake and the clutch clean up the handlebars very nicely. Rizoma rear sets bring much improved aesthetics and adjustability. Ditching the rear fender and bringing in new, more stylish indicators cap off this menacing motorcycle. Come check it out on our showroom floor. At first glance, it’s an 1199, but on closer inspection, it’s got those special little touches that make it a Works Edition.
